@plumpwench: Believe it or not, there was a time when MySpace looked interesting. Not that interesting, I grant you, but interesting nonetheless. It also requires you to have an account to see almost anything that people post, beyond inane comments. Anyway, all that's behind me now. I only did it socially, honest, it was never a problem.
@aeioux: You know I'm not sure. I'm pleased you're optimistic, but I can't imagine the might of Murdoch rolling over and taking it so easily. Something has to happen though, you're right about that. Me, I rely much more on Flickr to keep an eye on my network than on anything else, in combination with Skype for conversations. It's a generational thing I think, and I'm at the (very) upper end of a generation that embraced digital cameras as a way of recording and sharing our lives.
